Background: Multislice CT Scan (MSCT) brain examination in pediatric cases should pay attention to the lowest possible dose but still provide optimal anatomical information. Pediatric has a higher risk of developing cancer compared adults who receive same dose. The purpose this study is obtain value use Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction (ASIR)-V technique with variations tube current strength and which implemented patients under age 5 (five) years. Methods: This research was experimental image samples at Radiology Installation RSUD dr. Moewardi Surakarta. currents selected were 80, 100, 165 mA combination AR20, AR40, AR60, AR80 variations. Anatomical information processed descriptively sourced from assessment 3 (three) radiologists experienced assessing MSCT images. Meanwhile, effect variation on radiation tested using linear regression. Results: results showed differences between combinations mA-AR60 mA-AR80 "very clear", mA-AR20 "clear", 80 "fairly clear" 100 "less clear". There an strong regression coefficient 0.690. estimated effective doses three values below national Dose Reference Level (DRL). Conclusions: It concluded that there ASiR-V, techniques studied 20% Reconstruction.
